Katsina State House of Assembly moves to end use of vulgar words by traditional medicine sellers
The motion seeking for a Law prohibiting the use of vulgar words by herbal medicine sellers has scaled second reading at the Katsina State House of Assembly.
The motion was sponsored by Alhaji Ali Abubakar Albaba, the member representing Katsina Local Government at the House.
Defending the motion, the Lawmaker said it has become necessary for the House to enact a law that punishes traditional medicine sellers using obscene words to advertise their products especially at public places.
Alhaji Albaba said the act is becoming a source of concern to the society hence his decision to sponsor the motion.
After deliberating on the motion at the floor of the house, it was forwarded to the house committees on Justice and that of Religious Affairs for necessary advice for enacting a law on the act.
