1617 new cases of COVID19 recorded in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC says 1617 fresh cases of COVID19 was recorded in Nigeria on Monday, January 18. According to the health agency, Lagos recorded 776 fresh cases, the highest for the day. Other places with fresh cases include Kaduna-147,  Kwara-131, FCT-102, Plateau-78, Edo-59, Ogun-53, Osun-45, Rivers-37, Taraba-36, Nasarawa-34, Adamawa-33, Kano-26, Delta-20, Ebonyi-16, Bayelsa-11, Gombe-11 and Borno-2. Nigeria now has 112,004 confirmed cases of the disease. 89,939 patients have been successfully treated and discharged while 1,449 deaths have sadly been recorded. Nigeria recorded 1444 new cases of COVID-19

1444 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday, January 18, 2021. According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 901 new cases, the highest for the day.  Other states with new cases include Plateau-136, Kaduna-57, FCT-54, Ebonyi-53, Akwa Ibom-52, Nasarawa-32, Osun-29, Ogun-28, Imo-16, Oyo-16, Edo-15, Kano-14, Rivers-10, Ekiti-7, Borno-6, Abia-5, Benue-4, Yobe-4, Kebbi-3, and Anambra-2. 1,598 new cases of covid-19, seven more deaths in Nigeria.

With 1,598 new cases, the total tally of coronavirus infections increased to 108,943.
